AISD’s attempt to build a massive six-story, high density apartment inside of the Rosedale Neighborhood is in the news again. Community Impact Reporter Cloe Young’s recent article notes that the sale of the property to OHT-Partners has stalled due to community resistance and AISD’s lawsuit against its own constituents. Because Rosedale residents didn’t roll over when they were sued over deed restrictions that forbid the OHT development, AISD has concede its not getting the money from the sale of the Rosedale school this year and moved on to selling another former school property.

It is increasingly clear that Rosedale’s situation is just the tip of the iceberg in AISD’s plans to close schools and sell properties to developers of high-end multi-family and retail developments.

If you missed it, take a minute to read Young’s article now.
